Your teachers provide you with what you need for success. You provide the rest as you seek success for yourself. See below for teacher and student responsibilities.
Teachers must:
- Provide a syllabus for the class detailing assignments and timelines.
- Ensure all students have everything they need for success in the class.
- Make themselves available to help students with questions.
- Offer clear instructions for assignments.
- Provide an email address that students can use to write the teacher.
- Answer questions thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Arrange meetings with students who require more time for guidance.
- Allow time for homework assignments.
- Provide clear feedback on class homework.
- Maintain a professional relationship with students.
Students must:
- Complete all assignments on time.
- Read class material and ask questions if information proves unclear.
- Attend class regularly.
- Communicate with the teacher and other class mates.
- Practice good time management.
- Maintain professional behavior while in class.
- Behave respectfully and courteously toward others.
- Collaborate with others when assigned to a team.
- Have all technological equipment necessary to attend class and do assignments.
- Attend all meetings required by the teacher or groups for assignments.
- Sign up for meetings when offered.
- Check MavMail and D2L on a regular basis (recommended daily).
