Textbooks — Textbooks — Textbooks!

You can buy books for your classes through a number of sources:

  • The Mav Bookstore
  • Amazon
  • Barns and Nobel
  • Other online sources

If you have a scholarship or tuition assistance, you may have limitations on where you can buy your books. Check with your funds provider first.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Many bookstores refuse to give refunds for opened textbooks. Triple check that you order the correct ones for class!

How to Use the MNSU Library

You will likely have to use the MNSU Library many times for your classes. Teachers often give assignments that require reading certain materials that you can find only at the library. The following will help you successfully navigate the MNSU library.

1. Click on “Library Services” at the top of the MNSU Homepage

On this page you have many choices offered to you. You can navigate the library using the information in the sidebar or using the center box to narrow your search. Any time you have a question, you can either email or call the librarian for help. The friendly staff will walk you through finding anything you need.

2. Use the center box for finding specific articles or books

Type the name of the book or journal that has the information you want. If you don’t know, then you can use other key words in your search. When you click “Find” you will go to a page that contains a list of books or articles from which to choose. Choose the one you want.

3. Once you choose what you want, another screen will open asking for your user name and password (same as for MavMail)
